Miami-Dade and Broward are the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ). Palm Beach County isn’t — it’s the Wind-Borne Debris Region (WBDR). That changes which approvals an installer can legally use here, and plenty of out-of-county crews get it wrong.

Palm Beach County is the Wind-Borne Debris Region (WBDR), so your windows must be impact-rated and carry a valid Florida Product Approval (FL#) — Miami-Dade NOA products are accepted too, but not required. After installation we provide the documentation for a wind-mitigation inspection; opening protection that's impact-rated across the whole home is one of the biggest line items insurers credit on a Florida policy.
